Saint Naive

Saint Naive is a self-taught Rio Grande Valley musician who got their start in 2011 playing rhythm guitar in a local band called The Outcomes, which later reformed into the group First Call. After a life threatening injury, they refocused their creative efforts and personal goals by pursuing as many artistic endeavors they could manage, not wanting to miss a single day. They began to release solo work on bandcamp as Saint Naive in 2017 after moving to Denton, TX for college.

Since then they have released 3 albums online independently, including their bedroom indie debut Young Scholar and an ambitious follow-up double album titled The Gloomy Good Times or Dead Friends and Forget-Me-Nots.

They won best Music Video at the 2023 Media Arts Fest for the production of their song NIMH which was released on their reflective EP Sad Girl Summer in 2022. Saint Naive was accepted in NPR's Tiny Desk Contest 2024 as an entrant, performing a solo version of their song Mickey Mouse & So Am. The acceptance in the contest gave them the confidence to pursue playing more live performances and writing music again after a grueling, but successful career in grad school.

Now with Sleepy Parrot Records, Saint Naive released their latest album "Jist Ask You Don't Have To Keep A Sekrit" on October 30th, 2024.
